Encircling communities connect and empower women in geographical locations where state chapters are not found. These communities are structured to provide curated online conversations that bring women together to network and support one another.

In these communities, members will:

• be able to connect with other similarly located individuals to discuss more localized issues, 
• further their education and understanding in areas of advocacy and peacemaking based specifically around their current education and knowledge of political and social issues, 
• gain confidence to take new advocacy-based actions as they interact with other members who are also trying similar actions for the first time,  
• receive guidance and requests from MWEG national for particular ways members can campaign for ethical government in their location of residence, 
• have a trusted and supportive environment to ask questions, and
• participate in discussions during regularly scheduled posts.

On January 31, each chapter shifting to an encircling community will have its Facebook group archived. Members of those spaces can view past posts but will not be able to post. New members will not be able to join those Facebook groups. To find out if your chapter will be archived, please check out the other FAQs on this page or visit your current chapter's Facebook group.

A registered member of MWEG is someone who has created an account on our website. MWEG has both free and sustaining membership options. To gain access to the new encircling communities, you will need to be a registered member. Registration takes just a few short minutes and can be done here! 

• The portal is MWEG’s online home for connection and resources. There, registered members can find: 

  • The Practical Peacemaking course
  • Upcoming and past Town Halls and Deep Dives
  • Videos of past conference sessions
  • Book group
  • The member event calendar

  Don’t forget that on January 17, 2022, your new encircling community will automatically be available there!
  Registered members of MWEG can access the MWEG portal on a web browser here or from the Kajabi app. Learn more about the Kajabi app in another FAQ on this page.
  

MWEG’s member portal is hosted by Kajabi. Not only can you access the portal from a web browser, you can also easily access it through Kajabi’s mobile app on your smartphone. The encircling community spaces are not reliant on algorithms, so you control when and how you access the content. With this app, just like from a web browser, you can easily post, respond to other people’s posts, find facilitator-led discussions on pertinent topics, and more. The new encircling communities will go live on January 17. Chapters transitioning to an encircling community will have their Facebook chapter space archived on January 31.
