Like the Trump administration budget proposal, it includes increases in military funding while cutting other programs and assumes an unrealistic growth rate. It cuts Medicare and Medicare, along with other assistance for lower-income families. However, it differs from the Trump plan because it cuts spending overall and would not be allowed to increase the deficit. The Trump budget would increase the national debt.
