Take Action: March 30, 2017 With so much taxpayer money at stake, ask for accountability and responsibility regarding the wall with Mexico

The wall with the border of Mexico is on track to be one of the largest, most expensive, and least accountable public construction projects ever undertaken in the United States. Yet it may not be the most effective way to keep our borders safe. With tens of billions of taxpayer dollars at stake, we need to know more: where our money is going, how much the wall will really cost, and whether special deals are being handed out to the president’s friends and supporters.  More information here.

In addition, the wall infringes on the sovereignty of the Tohono O’odham Nation. Call your members of Congress if you oppose the use of taxpayer funds for the wall.

POSSIBLE SCRIPT: Hi. This is [NAME] and I’m a constituent in zip code [ZIP]. would like to know if _NAME_ has publicly opposed building a wall on the Mexico border. I’m concerned about having to pay for it, about it harming relations with Mexico, and the impact on the Native American tribe whose land it would cross. Thanks.
