Mormon Women for Ethical Government recognizes that the written word can be one of our most effective ways of promoting ethical government. For this purpose, MWEG has created its own Medium publication called On Common Ground. This digital publication will be a place to house thoughtful articles published by our members on a variety of topics in a way that allows us to share them widely.
We will start by posting several articles about immigration and refugees. We hope that through these and subsequent articles, we can build our Medium readership and move the needle on immigration reform at the same time.
Our first featured article is a beautiful piece written by MWEG Immigration lead Molly Hogan about our friend Catia, who was recently deported to El Salvador. We hope readers will share this article widely with the hashtag #forcedfarewells.
Please follow On Common Ground, read the articles we share, applaud them enthusiastically (by giving them multiple “claps”), and then share them widely. To “clap” for the articles, you will need to create a free Medium account, a simple process which takes only a few minutes.
Thank you for your support in this new endeavor! Please watch for another article soon about saving US Refugee Resettlement Agencies.
