Take Action: October 2, 2017 Serve refugees

The world is facing the greatest refugee crisis it has ever seen.  According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, in 2017, 65.6 million people were forcibly displaced worldwide due to of persecution, conflict, violence, or human rights violations.  We believe it is a moral imperative to come to their aid. These refugees have been carefully vetted; most are women and children fleeing unimaginable circumstances.

Here are some upcoming and ongoing refugee service opportunities:

  • Call your Governor, your Senators, your Representatives, and the White House (to declare your support for refugees and ask them to consider all the facts about the ways refugees enrich and contribute to our societies as Trump finalizes the admission cap, which he is contemplating reducing from 110,000 to 45,000 or less.
