Mexico has withstood two devastating earthquakes in the past few weeks. It took nearly a week for President Trump to reach out after the 8.2-magnitude quake of September 7th, even though Mexico had offered to help after Hurricane Harvey.
We can let the Mexican people know we are appreciative that they are our neighbors and grieved at their losses. Perhaps a note along these lines could be sent to their President:
As your neighbors, we grieve with you for the precious lives lost in the tragic earthquake. Please know that we in the US are praying for your people, the souls of those lost, and for recovery in your beautiful country.
