Chris Crawford
Policy Strategist, Protect Democracy
Chris Crawford is a policy strategist at Protect Democracy. His work is focused on ensuring free and fair elections and the peaceful transfer of power, including staffing the National Task Force on Election Crises and managing the Faith in Elections Playbook in partnership with Interfaith America. Chris worked on the Protect Democracy team that successfully advocated for reforms to the Electoral Count Act.
He previously worked as a senior program associate at Democracy Fund, where he managed a portfolio of faith-based initiatives focused on promoting pluralism in the U.S. Chris began his career at Susan B. Anthony List (now Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America), the nation’s largest pro-life political organization.
He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the George Washington University and a master’s degree in nonprofit administration from the University of Notre Dame.
In addition to his work at Protect Democracy, Chris is a founding board member of The Center for Christianity and Public Life and serves on advisory committees for A More Perfect Union: The Jewish Partnership for Democracy and the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life at Georgetown University. He served on the thought leaders advisory committee for Interfaith America’s “Vote is Sacred” program.
