Peacemaking

At MWEG, peacemaking is the underlying “how” of all we do. MWEG has adapted the six principles of nonviolence for our organization, with a focus on actively making peace and following the example of Jesus Christ. These six principles of peacemaking guide and inform our work.

Being a peacemaker, especially in a very polarized political climate, can be difficult. We’ve developed resources to empower you to build inner peace and shared peace at home, in our communities, and in our politics. â€‹â€‹â€‹

Peacemaking Lab

The Peacemaking Lab is a learning community for MWEG women who want to navigate conflict with more support, courage, and hope. It begins with "Conflict Resolution for Beginners" — a foundational course that equips everyone with shared language, core skills, and a new lens for understanding conflict. From there, members can participate in additional courses that will address specific areas of peacemaking, such as conflict in church settings, navigating our political landscape, and nonviolent action — choosing pathways that fit the real-life conflicts they’re facing.
