Peacemaking

At MWEG, peacemaking is the underlying “how” of all we do. MWEG has adapted the six principles of nonviolence for our organization, with a focus on actively making peace and following the example of Jesus Christ. These six principles of peacemaking guide and inform our work.

Being a peacemaker, especially in a very polarized political climate, can be difficult. We’ve developed resources to empower you to build inner peace and shared peace at home, in our communities, and in our politics. â€‹â€‹â€‹

MWEG's peacemaking resources are having an impact on our members! In a recent survey, we learned that long-standing members of MWEG have an increased capacity to engage with conflict to seek positive outcomes.

Help us expand our peacemaking resources to bring these concrete peacemaking skills to more of our members and communities.

Donations in the month of September will be matched through a special Peacemaking Matching Grant to help us develop and implement a set of interactive and guided peacemaking courses and corresponding in-home guides that graduates from the course can use in their communities.
