The Story of MWEG
Mormon Women for Ethical Government was founded in January 2017 by a small group of women who were troubled by the divisive politics of the day. They felt a need to join forces to counterbalance fear and to call for civility, compassion, and peace in our government. They soon discovered a surprising number of women eager to work alongside them.
Within weeks of its beginning, MWEG had grown to 4,000 members.
Since then, MWEG has become a force for good across the United States, with more than 7,000 members working toward a more peaceful, just, and ethical world. A leadership team of 25 women and 120-plus volunteers and contractors support our mission to inspire women of faith to be ambassadors of peace who transcend partisanship and courageously advocate for ethical government.
In the nearly eight years since its founding, MWEG and its members have:

Published hundreds of opinion pieces in news outlets around the country.
