Becca Kearl

Executive Director, Living Room Conversations

Becca Kearl believes in the power of dialogue and simple conversations around difficult topics to strengthen communities locally and nationally. After working with victim/survivors of domestic violence, she was struck by the disconnect between these women and the communities they lived in. This led her to organizing large-scale dialogue events in her own community and eventually joining the Living Room Conversations team.

As executive director Becca gets to work with communities across the country in different sectors like faith, education, civic groups, and libraries. She is always struck by how impactful a seemingly simple conversation can be. We all want to feel seen and heard, we all want to feel connected. This also reaffirms her belief that there are things we need to talk about and that social issues are always also community issues and personal issues.

Becca also contributes her time to different coalitions. In Utah she supports the Bolder Way Forward Initiative and serves on the SAFE Coalition raising awareness and engagement around preventing childhood sexual abuse. Nationally, she serves on the steering committee of the Bridging Movement Alignment Council, which is a collective impact effort of hundreds of organizations connecting people across differences. She sees so much potential and power in collective efforts.
