Patrick Mason

Professor of History and Religious Studies, Utah State University; Author, Historian

Patrick Mason is an author, historian, and speaker who specializes in Latter-day Saint history and culture and the role of religion in peacebuilding. He is a professor of history and religious studies at Utah State University, where he holds the Leonard J. Arrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture. His most recent book, “Proclaim Peace,” co-authored with David Pulsipher, articulates a Latter-day Saint theology of nonviolence. Along with MWEG co-executive director Jennifer Walker Thomas, he is the co-host of the podcast “Proclaim Peace.”
