The call for us today is to find our place in the story and work to build Zion/ the Beloved Community in our communities.

True patriotism lies in loving and serving others, showing gratitude, and recognizing the sacredness of this land.

As we love our neighbors and see them as God does, we acknowledge their humanity and build the beloved community together.

We must actively repair and strengthen our relationships and communities to participate in the gathering of Israel and the building of Zion.

Gratitude, though powerful, cannot heal wounds alone. Prayer and gratitude, however, can be powerful tools for healing.

Reflecting on Christ as my advocate and how my advocacy should reflect Christ is helping me determine which causes to support.

Loving our enemies stems from understanding our shared humanity and the need for belonging.

Covenantal relationships, not transactions, create a world of belonging and salvation.

What stories are at risk of remaining unwritten because we are afraid to act? What don’t we do because we think we need to do it perfectly?

We need enduring faith to keep working and building and hoping, holding on to a vision for a brighter future and relying on Christ.

In the midst of unrelenting storms, Christ is always willing to be our anchor and to help us feel moored.

Reconciliation with God and each other brings tranquility to the soul. Peacemakers should follow the example of the Prince of Peace.

But we know that when we are doing what the Lord wants, when we are righteous, we may be persecuted.

God offers rebirths and opportunities for renewal, even in challenging times.

Small efforts can lead to great things, and their impact may not be immediately apparent.
