Cindy Wilson
Idaho State Director
Cindy Wilson serves as the Idaho State Director for Mormon Women for Ethical Government. A longtime educator, she guided her students to compete in national We the People Congressional Hearing competitions and hosted community round table discussions and political debates. Her international human rights work centered on developing lessons for Idaho students, informed by travels across Asia and Europe, as well as teacher and student exchanges in Ireland, Asia and the Middle East.
Civic work has long been a priority for Cindy. She was appointed by Governor Otter to serve on the Idaho Education Reform Task Force and the Idaho Board of Correction. She has also worked on several state boards promoting civic education for young people. In 2018, she modeled civic participation for her students when she ran for Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Today, Cindy serves on the Boards of Idaho Children Are Primary, Take Back Idaho, and Idaho Solutions. Married to her husband, Wayne, she resides in Meridian and enjoys hosting friends, traveling to new places, spending time in the clear rivers and on the beaches of Idaho, and playing with her three sons’ families.
