There’s no caucus without us!
In Utah’s general elections, women are vastly underrepresented at party caucuses and at state nominating conventions. This means women have less say in who our candidates are, even though women vote at higher rates than men.
We’re on a mission to get women and other underrepresented voices to show up at the caucus and bring their friends. Let’s ensure caucuses and delegates reflect the neighborhoods and state we love. Join us!

1. Survey data shows that regardless of party, delegates are more likely than voters to be men, actively religious, older, and white, and to have more education and higher incomes.
What's the caucus?
The caucus is a two-hour gathering that happens every other March when members of a political party in a precinct (or neighborhood) meet to discuss issues and select delegates. Delegates then select party candidates to appear on the ballot. Delegates also elect new members of the legislature when members of their party step down before their term is up. In Utah, 30% of the current legislature was elected by delegates. That’s a lot of power!

How can I caucus?
First, you have to be a registered voter. Check your registration here: http://vote.utah.gov.
Next, pre-register to caucus with the Republicans or the Democrats.
Other political parties may also hold caucuses, so please seek info about their procedures as applicable.
