When Christ is our lodestar, we not only can make courageous choices, but we can respond with love to those we anger and find comfort for our weary souls as we deal with the fallout.

The Lord explained why the Jaredites couldn’t have windows or use fire, but instead asked the brother of Jared, “What will ye that I should prepare for you that ye may have light when ye are swallowed up in the depths of the sea?” (2:25). We must learn to walk within tension, finding peace where possible, but allowing the conflict to push us toward progress.

I trust in the Savior's grace and in the courage of the many good men and women doing good around me.
